King’s Dream and Trump’s Hope Through Despair

On Monday Jan 21, Martin Luther King Jr. is again remembered across the nation and around the world, in recognition of the civil rights leader’s contributions and service in freeing the African Americans from the bondage of physical slavery.

And the chains of discrimination was culminated in the simple statement “ I have a Dream”, invoking the words of Thomas Jefferson that “All men are crated equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. “ A dream that one day Negro children and white children will be able to join hands as brothers and sisters. A dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill shall be made low; the crooked places shall be straight, and the rough places plain; and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed; and all flesh shall see it together” With this faith, King wished a tunnel of hope to be carved through the mountain of despair. Quoting the Executive Order of Abram Lincoln the Emancipation of Proclamation enacted on September 22, 1862, King served to free the Negro from the bondage of physical slavery.
On the observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 75 million Koreans have a dream to be united the divided country for 70 years, and strongly urge President Trump to issue his Executive Order for emancipating 25 million North Koreans who are suffering from the dictatorial reign and the bondage of slaving and inhuman treatment. Let North Korea children join in hands as brothers and sisters with South Koreans. Let them have the same dream as Rev. King dreamed and be at last free from the oppressed rule to enjoy freedom and western democracy.
Let Glory of the Lord be revealed and dark yesterdays of the depressed North Korean children be transformed into bright tomorrows. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of separation into the sunlit path of re-unification. This is the only way to pay back the noble sacrifice 53,000 American soldiers made during the Korean War.
It is the time to make Koreans’ dream come true and enjoy permanent peace and happiness in the Korean peninsula. A tunnel of hope can be carved through the mountain of despair only through the power of the President of the United States of America.
